Critical alerts gained delivery receipts

Communikit added a delivery receipt to every emergency alert. Administrators could confirm which members were reached, channel by channel, within minutes of the send.

What changed

Every emergency send began returning a receipt for each channel it used. Push, SMS and voice results were reported side by side, so the office could see who was reached without calling anyone to ask.

Receipts arrived as the send progressed rather than at the end, which mattered most in the first few minutes of an evacuation notice.

What administrators saw

The receipt opened from the alert itself in the admin portal and updated while the send was still running.

Why it mattered

Emergency communication is judged after the fact. A written record of who was reached, on which channel, at what time, gave administrators something they could report on with confidence.

Failed counts also showed where to follow up. If a group of members was not reached by SMS, the office knew to try another channel or reach them directly.

Availability

Delivery receipts were included with every critical alert, with nothing to turn on.
