What’s new in Communikit
Release 2.93 brought three of our most requested features to every community: custom tabs, Facebook integration and rich-text formatting. All three were set up from the admin panel, and members saw the results right away.
In this release
Custom tabs
The release let administrators create and label up to 8 feeds on the app toolbar. Each tab gave members a direct route to the information they looked for most, without scrolling through the main feed.
Communities could add a tab for the health centre, or one for a list of facilities. Changes made in the admin panel appeared instantly on the app and in Webview.
Facebook integration
The release made it possible to publish one update across multiple platforms.
Administrators could authenticate their Facebook pages from the admin panel and push updates to their Communikit outlets and to any pages they administered. A post written once went everywhere members already looked.
Rich-text formatting
Rich-text formatting arrived in the details screen of every post. Longer notices, such as council updates, program guides and service changes, became easier to scan once they had structure.
Walkthrough webinar
Adam Farag, Lead Engineer at Communikit, hosted a live webinar on Friday, October 9 at 11:00 a.m. MDT. He demonstrated custom tabs, Facebook publishing and rich-text posts, then took questions.
Thirty minutes, a real person, and a look at your own feed inside the platform.
